Professional societies and awards

Dr. Hanson is a fellow of the IEEE, and a member of URSI Commission B, Sigma Xi, Electromagnetics Academy, and Eta Kappa Nu. He has been an Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation (2002-2007), Associate Editor, IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters (2015-present), and won the 2006 IEEE Sergei Schelkunoff Prize Paper award from the Transactions on Antennas and Propagation. He is serving as AP-S representative on the IEEE Nano Tech Council.
